Dr. Dianne Lawless has developed and delivered mental health and wellness seminars to public safety personnel and first responders throughout the province. Her clinical experience in addressing the effects of occupational stress including anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder through individual psychotherapy further informs her work in this area. Peer support programing for occupational sectors experiencing routine occupational stress represents another area of interest, with the most recent focus on Public Service Peer Support training programs for five Ontario government ministries. She is currently a supervising psychologist at the York University Psychology Clinic and has taught as an adjunct professor in York University’s Psychology Department for the past 20 years with a focus on clinical/counselling and community psychology.
