She has worked with Taibu Community Health Centre for the last 14 years as a Registered Social Worker and Therapist. More recently, Racquel is now the Director of Wellness and Community Crisis, SAPACCY and The Kaya Project at TAIBU. Her aim is to impact the Black community in a larger capacity by exacting change from within in order to deliver an effective and ground-breaking service to the Black and Indigenous communities experiencing mental health challenges.

She has also been a Therapist for 12 years delivering one on one counseling to those in need of CBT, Narrative Therapy or Solution-Focused Therapy. Racquel specializes in working with youth (16-29) and older adults dealing with Depression and Anxiety. Her work stems from an Anti-Black Racism Framework and an Anti-Oppressive Framework to ensure all voices are heard and respected for their intersectionalities.
